ChamberHow much is Upper Arlington Area Chamber of Commerce Dues? Chamber Dues vary according to the number of employees a company has.

topBusinessHow do I start my own business? The chamber has a few guides that may be of benefit, including the Central Ohio Business Resource Guide and the How to really Start Your Own Business. Also, make sure to get a copy of Starting Your Business in Ohio from the Ohio One-Stop Business Permit Center at 1-800-248-4040. You can set up an appointment for personal consultation with a SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) counselor, who can help get your business off the ground. Does Upper Arlington require a business license? Upper Arlington does not require a business license for small businesses, only some small contractors. For more information on requirements for businesses, contact the Development Office at 614/583-5070.

topCommunityWhen is trash pick-up? Depends on where you live. Call Solid Waste Dept. 583-5370
Does Upper Arlington recycle? Yes, you can recycle newspaper, magazines and other paper products. Cardboard boxes, glass bottles, tin cans & some plastic bottles. Containers can be obtained from the Solid Waste Dept. 583-5370.
Where do you get trash stickers? Local grocery stores (Kroger, Giant Eagle, Huffman’s)
When does leaf pick-up begin? Call Solid Waste 583-5370
Where are the swimming pools and when do they open? U. A. has 3 swimming pools. Reed Road Water Park, Tremont at Northam Park and Devon on Devon Road. Pools open Memorial Day and close Labor Day. For information call the Swimming Pools Office 583-5315.
Does U.A. have a sports programs? Yes, for information on community sports call Parks and Recreation at 583-5300 or the Information Line 583-5345. Also, various civic groups sponsor sports programs such as Kiwanis soccer (Joe Sonderman at 294-1835), Optimist basketball (Jerry Wilker at 488-1456), Cub Scout baseball.
Does Kiwanis have a soccer program? Yes, for information call Northwest Kiwanis 529-0294.
Are there any meeting rooms in U.A.? Yes, the Lane Road and Tremont Road libraries have rooms available. Shops on Lane Avenue have 2 meeting rooms (614-481-8341).
Are there any banquet facilities in U.A.? There are no banquet facilities in UA. However, in the member search enter key word "banquet" for local facilities.

What is the percentage of U.A. City Tax? 2% of earned income.
When and where is the Farmer's Market? The Farmer's Market is Mid July - Mid to late Oct. from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Mall Way on Arlington Ave.
When is 4th of July parade? 4th of July.
When is Beggar's Night? October 31st. Call 583-5000 for more information.
Is there a Haunted House in U.A.? The Upper Arlington Civic Association has the Haunted House at Lane Road Shelter House. Call their hot line 614-470-0655.
When is the Christmas Workshop? The Upper Arlington Civic Association has the Christmas Workshop at Lane Road Shelter House. Call their hot line 614-470-0655.
When are the summer concerts? Most are held on Thursday evenings at Municipal Building, 3600 Tremont Road. Call Cultural Arts Dept. 614-583-5311.
When is the Labor Day Arts Festival? The Upper Arlington Arts Festival is held on the Monday of Labor Day weekend, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
How do I sign up as an Art Festival exhibitor? If you are interested in participating as an artist, entertainer, or food or beverage vendor, you may contact Lynette in the Cultural Arts Dept. at 614-583-5312
